Rescue Mission to Kalamazoo ....

continued from previous post....

The river born part of the rescue mission arrives at the trading post of Kalamazoo...
after securing the trading post the naval landing party moves inland cautiously towards the natives' village ....
the rest (volunteers and some colonial police) take a different route ....
the naval landing party took a wider trail towards the native village, as they neared the thicker jungle area they were attacked by natives ....
the landing party formed a defensive line .....
the natives took a lot of casualties and retreated, melting away into the jungle ....
the others make good progress and came into sight of the native village
they've were spotted and their approach was challenged ...
they were attacked from behind
and then from the front ...
the naval landing party moved quickly towards the sound of the gunfire ....
their firepower dispersed the natives who fell back to their village ....(only two men remained from the other party that approached the village)
they advance, keeping up a steady fire, the natives fall back and head towards an adjacent statue platform ...
The naval landing party search the village and find the two lady captives safe and sound....
the natives mill about by their statue platform ...
the french troops arrive to provide support ....
the expedition cautiously returned to the trading post at Kalamazoo - although followed by a few native warriors, there was no further fighting.  The expedition returned safely down river to the port town of Gwondamaloo.

  1. Your table looks fantastic. And it appears you have ample room to move minis but also created the impression of dense jungle. Bravo!
