Out for a hunt ...

Sir Rodney Fellowes, joined by a few of his chums are on a big game hunt, they have travelled up river and camped out at a old deserted trading post...

Early in the morning they set out,  Sir Rodney leading the way with a local guide...
a lot of game around in the local area
a water hole futher inland ....
as the hunters move along, there are a couple of lions on the prowl
Sir Rodney takes a long shot at a giraffe - dead on target - the giraffe goes down....
Sir Rodney and a couple of others move forward cautiously, while rest move towards some large antelope...
The other girafffes move away they approach; the other hunters took a few shots at the antelope but missed - the antelope ran off towards the water hole ....the lions are keeping an eye on proceedings ...
a pair of rhinos lumbered into view, Sir Rodney fires and kills one but the other one charges towards him.....
he stands his ground and fires again, jumping out of the way but falling badly. The rhino was hit and goes down dead; Sir Rodney has a cut and a nasty bruise on his left arm
just as they decide to end their hunt for the day, the lions move in to attack them.
They fire on the lions, Sir Rodney kills one, but sustains a bad strain to his right arm pushing away the dying lion;  another lion is badly wounded and slinks away; the third lion runs off...
the rest of the hunting party escort Sir Rodney back towards the camp ....

A good days hunting for Sir Rodney - a giraffe, two rhinos and a lion; although wounded a bit of first aid sees him set right.

Working on huts ....

Working on some more generic native huts... I bought 3 plastic haystacks at a local Toy&Train fair.  Doors were cut into them;  the two larger ones will be used as small huts and the other little one was put on a raised platform to represent some sort of storage  ....
